Through the Foundation and her hands-on participation in all programs and events, Annika is now sharing her winning formula with youth, especially the underserved. The Foundation works with several key partners to develop state-of-the-art junior golf, physical fitness and nutrition programs to help children realize their potential in life. Key partners include:
• SPARK: The leading physical education program in school and after-school settings. The ANNIKA Foundation promotes SPARK in more than 400 schools, providing grants to elementary schools in Central Florida and Arkansas. Annika is also SPARK’s national spokesperson.
• Florida Hospital for Children: The ANNIKA Foundation supports the Healthy 100 Kids initiative, a comprehensive pediatric wellness program, and Annika is an ambassador for this program in the Central Florida community.
• The First Tee: This national youth organization teaches 2.6 million children the basics of golf and its Life Skills program in 4,000 elementary schools and in 200 chapter locations across America. The ANNIKA Foundation collaborates with The First Tee to develop new innovative wellness programs for children.
• American Junior Golf Association (AJGA): The AJGA is the leading junior golf organization dedicated to the growth and development of junior golfers who aspire to earn college golf scholarships. Partnering with the AJGA, the Foundation created the award-winning ANNIKA Invitational, whose proceeds endow a $100,000 Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant for underserved junior golfers.
• National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE): A national organization of physical education instructors who teach and promote high-quality physical education and activity programs. Annika is NASPE’s national spokesperson and was recently inducted into the NASPE Hall of Fame.
